This coffee comes from the Aceh highlands of northern Sumatra, Indonesia, where smallholder farmers cultivate coffee at elevations between 1,400 and 1,600 meters above sea level. This “Red Cherry” lot is a quality-focused project designed to improve the selection and processing of wet-hulled coffee by carefully harvesting only the ripest cherries. The result is a cup that retains the bold, earthy body Sumatra is known for, but with added depth, clarity, and sweet fruit nuance.
